Description
We are saddened by the passing of one of our editors, @missarkansassy. Amanda was a force of nature, she owned & wore her roots in such a way that we are all better for it. She was & is a huge reason why we exist as a project. Much of her art focused on Queer Southern Migration Stories, migration didn't mean you had a new home, just that you had journeyed away from home. Our first community grant was to help fund her #yallcomeback stories of queer southern migration project. There is a gofundme to help with burial cost, https://www.gofundme.com/2rebcgrg. Rest in power high cuntry femme ❤️. "The way consent is approached in sex ed curriculums in the south, most kids think it's something Yankee Candle carries"
